A clear decision- use as-is, rework, scrap, or return- made by someone with the authority to make it, and written down.3. Root Cause Investigation
A habit of asking why past the obvious first answer, so you're fixing the actual cause, not just the symptom.4. CAPA & Tracking Log
A record of what's being done to fix it and prevent it from happening again, with a way to prove that action actually worked.

How The Toolkit Works

Step 1 - Start With the Quick Guide
Open the Quick Start Guide and follow the short setup checklist.
This gives you the file map and the order to put things.Step 2 - Set Up Your Folders
Create the four core folders:

01_Templates_NCM
02_Master_Trackers_NCMThese become your “home base” for every issue you catch.Step 3 - Tag the first Issue You Find
Use the NCM tag to flag the item the moment it's found, before you set it down.Step 4 - Log It
Open the Master NCM Log and record what was found, when, and by whom. This is your proof the issue didn't fall through the cracks.Step 5 - Decide What Happens to It
Use the NCM Disposition Form to record the use-as-is/rework/scrap/return decision, and who authorized it.Step 6 - Find the Why, Then Fix It
Use the Root Cause Investigation Worksheet to dig beyond the obvious answer, then open the CAPA Request Form to assign the fix, owner, and due date.Step 7 - Track It to Closure
Log the CAPA in the Master CAPA Tracking Log and verify it actually worked before marking it closed.
